The BioPackMan project has officially reached its first year milestone.
To mark this important moment, the consortium gathered in Zaragoza on 10–11 June 2026 for its first in-person meeting, hosted by project partner Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA).
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for partners to review the progress achieved during the first year of activities, exchange insights and align on the next phases of the project. Discussions focused on key developments in sustainable packaging materials, as well as upcoming steps towards achieving the project’s objectives.
As part of the meeting, participants had the chance to visit ITA’s facilities, gaining insight into their work within the project, including the development of digital tools and innovative approaches for the assessment, optimisation and sustainability of next-generation biodegradable packaging materials.
This first-year meeting was an important milestone for the project, reinforcing collaboration across partners and setting a solid foundation for future work.
