Plastic is everywhere!
Each year, over 350 million tonnes of plastic are produced globally. A growing share ends up in landfills, oceans, or incinerated. Even biodegradable plastics often degrade under very specific conditions — rarely met in real-world disposal scenarios. BioPackMan addresses this.
By designing biodegradable packaging as a system, not just a material, we rethink how packaging is made, used, and returned to nature.
We bring together science, industry and digital innovation to build better packaging.

Our approach is based on the concept of “biodegradation as a system property”, meaning materials are designed from the start to break down under specific environmental conditions, both in planned and unintentional disposal scenarios.

BioPackMan also integrates sustainable additives and bio-based innovations, such as cellulose nanofibers, nanolignin, and extracts from plant or food byproducts, along with advanced functional features. The result is fully biodegradable, recyclable packaging that meets today’s industry requirements while significantly reducing environmental impact.
